CAPDIS adapter sets, together with CAPDIS Voltage Detecting Systems, enable testing for absence of voltage on medium-voltage cable fittings within the framework of the five safety rules and in compliance with IEC 62271-213. The CAPDIS adapter set couples out the voltage signal at the C1 capacitance of the medium-voltage cable fitting. A CAPDIS Voltage Detecting Systems is connected via a suitable connecting cable. This enables a professional check for absence of voltage. Likewise, this voltage signal can be used in conjunction with IKI fault indicators for the directional detection of short circuits and earth faults.

CAPDIS adapter sets can be used in various installation situations. A separate CAPDIS adapter set is assigned to each of the medium-voltage connectors (see table).
